My experience includes being a mother, grandmother, teacher, educator, supervisor and psychotherapist working with people of all ages.
Working for 21 years as an early childhood teacher and as a supervisor of teacher trainees was a very rewarding and fulfilling time. In the late 1980s I incorporated further training as a counsellor and parent educator into my teaching practice.
This led to a change of career in the early 1990s to become a practicing counsellor / psychotherapist. For several years I worked at the Melbourne Therapy Centre and at the Clayton Whole Health Medical Clinic, as well as in private practice in the Yarra Valley.
Alongside counselling, I spent several years working as the coordinator, teacher and supervisor of trainee counsellors, at Persephone College in Melbourne, as well as contract teaching and casual work in a number of organisations.
From 2001-2006 I lived in WA and completed a PhD research thesis - on the holistic nature of change and transformation, based on clients' experiences of change through Psychophonetics psychotherapy.
Being a mother of three adult children brings me, since 2003, into a new and wonderful life of also being a grandmother of four amazing grandchildren.
I am interested in personal and spiritual development that is heart based, includes the 'I am' presence of each person, and consciously incorporates the support of the spiritual world. I participate in a number of groups which are developing these ways of being and working, not only at an individual level but also for healing the earth and beyond.
I continue to be involved with Psychophonetics as - editor of the Psychophonetics Practitioners Newsletter & the IAPP News; memberhip officer in the Intl. Association of Psychophonetics Practitioners (IAPP); and as manager of the website: www.psychophonetics.com.au
